The swim with dolphins expedition is a floating workshop aboard the Indigo, leaving from Bimini. Other Info about the swim with dolphins expedition:
The sites where you will swim with dolphins are at about an hour out of Bimini Island, on the Western edge of the Bahamas Banks. Quite often the dolphins can be encountered anywhere and any time during the trip. The dolphin swims take place in a wide area of shallow sand banks (15 to 50 feet), surrounded by deeper waters. The clarity of the water is exceptional and the colors extremely vivid. Protected anchorages are used at night. Trimarans are multi-hulled boats, designed for stability. Their unquestionable advantage over mono-hulls is that they don't roll, which provokes seasickness in many people. To make the most of your swim expedition, you should make yourself comfortable with snorkeling and free diving. The use of a dive skin, simple jeans and T-shirt and sunscreen lotion will greatly reduce the risk of sunburn. Water temperature varies between the upper 70's in the spring and the 80's in the summer. The expedition starts in Bimini. Flights are available daily from Ft. Lauderdale with Bimini Island Airline.Contact us for details. Your skipper will be Geoffrey Hanan who knows his boat and the dolphin grounds like the palm of his hand. He will make you laugh even if you think that you are hopelessly depressed.
